Matej: I looked at Venus a while ago and thanks for linking to it again, it was nice to take a fresh look in light of this work. However I am still happy with my new fork. I want Planet to do less, not more, and I’d prefer it to use jinja2 than anything else (and the vastly simplified implementation makes it easy to add django template support too). I am positive Planet Venus does lots of important things for people, but I’m happy providing a much simpler fork that handles the common case.
